FRESH TROUBLE IN THE VATICAN
There are indications that fresh trouble is brewing in the Vatican, which may not be unconnected to the recent appointment by the Pope of his close friend and Italian journalist, Alessandro Gisotti, 44, as the editorial director of communications.
The Spokes person of the Vatican, Greg Burke, in a tweeter post, broke the news of his resignation alongside his deputy, Paloma Garcia Ovejaro which he says become effective Jan. 1.
“At this time of transition in Vatican communications, we think it’s best the Holy Father is completely free to assemble a new team,” Burke wrote on Twitter.
“The experience has been fascinating, to say the least,” hank you, Pope Francis. Un abrazo muy fuerte.”
A Vatican statement said Francis accepted the pair’s resignations Monday.
