KADUNA’S NEW RELIGION LAW: POPULAR SEER PRONOUNCES WRATH OF GOD UPON El RUFAI
Popular Lagos Cleric and founder of Liberation City, Pastor Chris Okafor, has pronounced the wrath of God on Kaduna State governor, Malam Nasir El Rufai within now and seven days if he does not desist from persecuting Christians in the state.
The pastor/prophet in a terse tone, made it known that the governor will have God to contend with by 7 days if he fails to halt the passage into law of a bill at the state house of assembly that would see government licensing and regulating the activities of religious bodies.
The bill if assented to by the governor, will enshrine a minimum punishment of two years imprisonment or a fine of N200,000 for any person found guilty of preaching without a valid licence and other offences under the law.
The proposed edict seeks to empower the government to create an inter-faith Ministerial Committee under the hand of the governor, which will exercise control over Jama’atu Nasril Islam, JNI, and the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN.
The ministerial committee so established shall issue licenses to religious bodies without which the they cannot operate.
It also exacts that external preachers seek and wait to be issued a permit by the ministerial committee, before ministering anywhere in Kaduna state.
Speaking on the development, the handsome cleric in a video shared on his wall on Monday night likened the governor to the biblical. Herod, who cannot withstand the wrath of God.
